Is Ultrasound safe?
Ultrasound technology has been the subject of hundreds
of clinical studies over the past 35 years and has not
been shown to cause any harm to the mother or baby.
We suggest you to speak with your doctor about any
questions reguading the safety of ultrasound. We
strictly adhere to the standard set by the FDA which
restricts ultrasound exposure levels. Our 3D and 4D
ultrasound imaging uses ultrasound energy subject to
these same limits and is not a product of increased
frequency or "power" levels, but a combination of
increased data gathering (listening) by the transducer
and software interpretation after data acquisition. We
use the state of the art GE Voluson 730 ultrasound
machine which is used by the worlds finest prenatal
clinics. It uses the same safe ultrasonic waves your
Doctors office uses. |

At what stage of my pregnancy should I visit?
For single visits we recommend visiting between weeks 27 and 34, when we can get the cutest chubby cheek facial images. Women with twins should visit around 25 weeks, as twins have less space. We can determine your baby's gender by week 16. But, generally speaking 3D & 4D imaging is good any time after week 20 |

If your baby is uncooperative during their scan and will not show gender (after week 18) or will not show its face we will invite you back again free of charge to try again!

What is a Limited Medical Ultrasound?
A Limited medical ultrasound includes basic information about the baby, including the verification of heartbeat, assessment of the baby's position and, if desired, gender determination. If there is more than one baby present, we verify the number and determine the above information for each baby. |

Do I need a note from my Doctor?
No, you do not need a note from your doctor. We do require, however, that you be receiving active prenatal care and encourage you to speak with your doctor about your intention to visit Vegas Baby! 4D. In no way can Vegas Baby! 4Ds limited medical ultrasound be substituted for a diagnostic or medically indicated ultrasound. We do not take measurements or determine due dates or weight. |

Do I need a full bladder?
No. We want you to be as comfortable as possible. |

What kind of training do your technicians receive?
Vegas Baby! 4D Ultrasound employs ultrasound technicians from a variety of backgrounds. Some are licensed, registered technicians (ARDMS), others are certified through clinical ultrasound schools around the country, and still others have been trained directly under the supervision of an obstetrician. Whatever the educational background or years of diagnostic experience the technician had before coming to Vegas Baby! 4D Ultrasound, the imaging techniques exclusive to Vegas Baby! require the same lengthy period of intensive training and supervised scanning. The result -- each Vegas Baby! technician is one of a limited number of sonographers around the country counted among the best in the nation in fetal 3d & 4D imaging and limited-diagnostic scanning. |

How early can you find the gender?
We begin gender determination at 16 weeks and can do so up until the end of pregnancy. We are highly skilled at using ultrasound technology to our best advantage in determining gender and, despite the inherent imperfections in any technology, have an unsurpassed accuracy rate. We will not guess on your baby's gender. If we are unable to see gender clearly, we will invite you to come back for a second visit free of charge.. |

What if I don’t want to know my baby’s Gender?
Just let the technician know before your ultrasound and they will do their best to stay clear of any revealing images. |

How long do appointments take?
Appointment length varies according to which package you choose but generally allow 45 minutes for the entire appointment. Filling out paperwork, collecting your pictures ect. Please arrive a few minutes early to complete the necessary paperwork. Also, please keep in mind that we need to honor our other appointments scheduled for the day and will need to reschedule your appointment if you are more than 15 minutes late. |

Can I bring my family?
You are welcome up to 10 family members and/or friends to accompany you through your appointment. We also welcome children, though we do recommend that you bring someone to help with very small children. Many parents cannot enjoy seeing the new baby while wrestling a crying toddler, or trying to entertain a preschooler etc. It can be a wonderful time of bonding for all involved.

Will I get a personalized private webpage?
Yes, Every package includes a personal baby webpage that you can use to share your baby's photos with friends and family online. |

Do I need an appointment?
Yes. Our all of our services are by appointment only. |

How far in advance should I make my appointment?
We recommend at least a week or two in advance. Same day /evening appointments may be accommodated but not guaranteed |

Does Vegas Baby! 4D take medical insurance?
Since this is not a diagnostic procedure, insurance companies will not pay for your scan; you are responsible for the full payment at the time of your appointment. |

Tips for a great ultrasound:
1. The amount of amniotic fluid you have plays a big part in getting good images of the baby. The more the better. We suggest for the week of your appointment to drink lots of water to help boost the amount of amniotic fluid.
2. Dress's are cute but not great for ultrasounds as we need your belly out for it. We have blankets to cover you, but you would probably be more comfortable in pants, shorts or skirt.
3.20 Minutes prior to your scan a trick we use is to drink some juice or soda or eat a little piece of chocolate (if your Dr. allows of course). It will sometimes help in keeping baby more alert for their ultrasound. |
